It was just a few months ago that the Fly Fellas - AK and Isaiah Frasier - were one of the premier tag teams in Voltage Wrestling. But back in November, that partnership was broken, as with a stunning act of betrayal, AK attacked his partner and left him in the ring after losing in the Voltage Tag Team Championship tournament. Seeking restitution and resolution, Frasier and AK faced off in the opening match of the inaugural edition of Thursday Night Lightning. In yet another stunning act of betrayal, AK was aided and abetted by none other than the Humble Hoodlum, Eric Ecton, who slipped AK the white powder that left Frasier blinded and ultimately led to his loss. With so much so rapidly changing, and Voltage fans clamoring to know why, I sat down with Eric to investigate this newfound partnership further. Now Eric - we’ve seen you here in Voltage in, well, every which way - from antagonizing Rhino, maligning Logan Easton Laroux, to teaming up with Riot City. Is this another fair weather team-up, so to speak, or is the wind finally blowing you in a more concrete direction now? Ecton: So yeah this seems to be the running joke, Eric Ecton can't make anything stick to the wall in Voltage and they're just trying to figure out what to do month by month. So, from fighting Rhino and the Beastman, to almost knocking Logan Easton Laroux's block right off his shoulders, I've done a lot of stuff here in a short amount of time. As for AK, the reason why we decided to hitch a ride together is because we have the same drive for this business, and yeah a lot of things haven't worked out for us here, but it's time to start anew. It's 2023, start it off right. As for whether or not this is finally winds blowing my way so we can finally find something concrete for Eric Ecton, I don't know, it's something that's just happened, it's fresh. But I got a really great feeling that you're gonna be hearing AND NEW Voltage Tag Team Champions very soon. Is the plan to keep sights set on Isiah? Or is something bigger on both your minds? Ecton: Kyle, Kyle, my man. Anyone can get it. Last month, we put down Isaiah Frasier. This month, we're putting the Red Dawg back in his kennel. Anyone who wants to step in the ring with the god of war and the hoodlum? Prepared to be humbled and go to war. Voltage officials have already announced we’ll be hearing from you both February 16 on the next Thursday Night Lightning. What can we expect from that? Ecton: Why would we give away the milk away for free? If you wanna find out what we have to say, all you have to do is buy a ticket for Thursday Night Lightning at the 633 Brewhouse in Waynesboro, PA. I'm out. Peace. I also reached out to AK - but he seemed far less interested in responding to questions, and far more intent on delivering a pointed message to not only his former partner, but to the Voltage roster as a whole. You can see that message just below. Voltage Wrestling returns tomorrow night, February 16 to 633 Brewery in Waynesboro, PA for another edition of Thursday Night Lightning. AK will have Ecton in his corner, as he is set to be in one-on-one action with the intel specialist Red Dawg. Other exciting bouts include Dani Mo against the leader of the Cream World Order Stan Stylez, Killian McMurphy vs. Facade, and our Main Event match-up as the Boar takes on the Beastman for the Voltage Grand Championship. Tickets are still available online or at the door. Get yours now. Kyle Rex is a Voltage correspondent based out of Waynesboro, PA. AuthorNews and notes on all things Voltage Wrestling Archives
