VOLTAGE WRESTLING

POSTPONED - Voltage Tag Tournament 3/19

3/18/2023

Hello everyone,

I regret to inform you all that tomorrow nights event (3/19) in Waynesboro, PA has been postponed to Thursday, April 20th due to miscommunication between the venue and the promotion. Both the venue and Voltage Wrestling sincerely apologize for not being able to bring you the great professional wrestling action we planned for tomorrow night

We were very excited to crown our first tag team champions. We had a number of great teams in place to compete and its unfortunate that we'll have to wait a few more weeks to make that happen. Rest assured Waynesboro, we will make this up to you.  We will be lining up a special guest for the 4/20 event for you all.

For those who already purchased tickets, your tickets will be honored at the April 20th event. But, if you cannot make the April 20th date, we give you two options.
  1. 1. You can use your tickets for our May 20th edition of Thursday Night Lightning at 633 Brewing in Waynesboro.
  2.  You can message us on between Monday and Tuesday for a full refund. Be sure to send us your address with your refund request so that we may send you a free piece of Voltage Wrestling merchandise.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for the postponement and we look forward to seeing you in April.

Statement Regarding Voltage Wrestling’s Appearance at WDWA on March 11th

3/12/2023

This past Saturday in Martinsburg West, Virginia, the World Domination Wrestling Alliance champion Clay Jacobs issued an Open Championship Challenge. And on behalf of Voltage Wrestling, I, Mike Ratick, answered that challenge.

Since our debut event in June of 2021, a rivalry has been quietly brewing - born out of what we can only describe as the bluster of professional bravado. It’s not a rivalry that we have sought, but one we will gladly accept nonetheless.

Over the last few years, Voltage and WDWA have raised the standards of professional wrestling in Martinsburg, providing an unparalleled level of entertainment and setting a new level of expected quality.

But let it be known that Voltage Wrestling does not shy away from any challenge, nor do we fear retaliation of any kind. In a word, we will not - cannot be intimidated.

So on that note, we here at Voltage invite any member of the WDWA roster to come to our next show, this Sunday, March 19 in Waynesboro, PA.

We look forward to your visit, and we look forward to our Martinsburg return this June 9 for Voltage Wrestling: Raising the Bar at Bad Habits Bar and Grill. Wrestling along the I-81 corridor has never been hotter than it will be this summer. - Mike Ratick, Head of Operations, Voltage Wrestling

A Fair and Balanced Sitdown  - A Talk With The Professor

3/1/2023

@voltagewrestling Brick by brick, Jakob Edwinn is is educating the masses. #thisisvoltage #prowrestling #indywrestling #prowrestlingtiktok ♬ original sound - voltagewrestling
Written By Kyle Rex

During another exciting edition of Voltage Wrestling Thursday Night Lightning, which was held at 633 Brewing on February 16, the Professor Jakob Edwinn allegedly interfered in the match of, and subsequently attacked Madd Maxx Morrison. I've included the graphic footage above.

Opinions on what is seen in the video and what actually transpired vary, so I've reached out to Professor Jakob Edwinn for clarification.

Professor, thank you for sitting down with me today. I hope I can help  you provide some clarity surrounding the events of February 16.

Recently this (see above) footage from the latest installment of Thursday Night Lightning has surfaced, showing you interfering in Madd Maxx Morrison’s match with The Sigma Male Steven Fuerte. The footage allegedly shows you striking Maxx with what appears to be a hollowed out version of “The Book of Jakob Edwinn,” containing a brick or brick like object. You yourself have stated “Voltage Wrestling has uploaded a doctored, that is, FAKE video of me from their last show. Do NOT watch, do NOT share, do NOT believe.” Could you expand on that?

Edwinn: Well Kyle, I try to speak succinctly and deliberately so as to avoid repeating myself. It's all right there -Voltage used CGI in a video to make me out to be the bad guy.

Voltage Wrestling’s official Facebook page even responded, commenting “Professor, you’re not going to like the word that comes down from the Voltage Executive Committee this week. I’m hearing your book may be banned from ringside permanently.” How has that response shaped your mindset going forward?

Edwinn: "There's more than one way to skin a cat." Now I would never skin a cat, but there are many more tools for learning. If Voltage wants to go back to before the middle ages, allow me to get medieval.

Do you think it’s right that Voltage is now, essentially, looking to ban books?

Edwinn: No of course not. I would encourage all of the fans to speak and protest against this by bringing their own books.

Are you considering pursuing legal action against Maxx or Voltage for defamation at this time? What sort of repercussions would you see as fitting?

Edwinn: I'm not as litigious as some might believe. I still firmly believe in corporal punishment.

Do you feel like this misrepresented incident has swayed public perception of you? Do you feel as if this could in fact endanger future employment, compensation, and title opportunities?

Edwinn: I fancy myself a public speaker. I will sway the public however I see fit.

And for my personal edification - would it be possible to obtain a copy of your book? I’d love to read it.

Edwinn: That is a common misconception, there is no one Book of Edwinn, any book can be learned from and I'm not yet a published author.

Prior to this interview, I also reached out to Madd Maxx for a fair, balanced, and unbiased explanation of these events. My inquiries have been met with no response.

Edwinn: That's one thing you can commend Maxx for. He's a man of few words, because it's better to let people believe you a fool, rather than open his big mouth and remove all doubt.

Well, I certainly appreciate your time today, Professor. And I anxiously await your long deserved publications.

At the time of publication of this article, I have still yet to hear from Madd Maxx. I will be patiently waiting, and look forward to publishing those remarks.

Voltage Wrestling returns to Waynesboro, PA Sunday, March 19. Stay tuned for more.

Betrayal and New Alliances - A Sitdown With Eric Ecton and AK

2/14/2023

Written by Kyle Rex

It was just a few months ago that the Fly Fellas - AK and Isaiah Frasier -  were one of the premier tag teams in Voltage Wrestling. But back in November, that partnership was broken, as with a stunning act of betrayal, AK attacked his partner and left him in the ring after losing in the Voltage Tag Team Championship tournament.

Seeking restitution and resolution, Frasier and AK faced off in the opening match of the inaugural edition of Thursday Night Lightning. In yet another stunning act of betrayal, AK was aided and abetted by none other than the Humble Hoodlum, Eric Ecton, who slipped AK the white powder that left Frasier blinded and ultimately led to his loss.

With so much so rapidly changing, and Voltage fans clamoring to know why, I sat down with Eric to investigate this newfound partnership further.

Now Eric - we’ve seen you here in Voltage in, well, every which way - from antagonizing Rhino, maligning Logan Easton Laroux, to teaming up with Riot City. Is this another fair weather team-up, so to speak, or is the wind finally blowing you in a more concrete direction now?

Ecton: So yeah this seems to be the running joke, Eric Ecton can't make anything stick to the wall in Voltage and they're just trying to figure out what to do month by month. So, from fighting Rhino and the Beastman, to almost knocking Logan Easton Laroux's block right off his shoulders, I've done a lot of stuff here in a short amount of time. As for AK, the reason why we decided to hitch a ride together is because we have the same drive for this business, and yeah a lot of things haven't worked out for us here, but it's time to start anew. It's 2023, start it off right.
As for whether or not this is finally winds blowing my way so we can finally find something concrete for Eric Ecton, I don't know, it's something that's just happened, it's fresh. But I got a really great feeling that you're gonna be hearing AND NEW Voltage Tag Team Champions very soon.

Is the plan to keep sights set on Isiah? Or is something bigger on both your minds?

Ecton: Kyle, Kyle, my man. Anyone can get it. Last month, we put down Isaiah Frasier. This month, we're putting the Red Dawg back in his kennel. Anyone who wants to step in the ring with the god of war and the hoodlum? Prepared to be humbled and go to war.

Voltage officials have already announced we’ll be hearing from you both February 16 on the next Thursday Night Lightning. What can we expect from that?

Ecton: Why would we give away the milk away for free? If you wanna find out what we have to say, all you have to do is buy a ticket for Thursday Night Lightning at the 633 Brewhouse in Waynesboro, PA.
I'm out. Peace.

I also reached out to AK - but he seemed far less interested in responding to questions, and far more intent on delivering a pointed message to not only his former partner, but to the Voltage roster as a whole. You can see that message just below.

Voltage Wrestling returns tomorrow night, February 16 to 633 Brewery in Waynesboro, PA for another edition of Thursday Night Lightning.
AK will have Ecton in his corner, as he is set to be in one-on-one action with the intel specialist Red Dawg.
Other exciting bouts include Dani Mo against the leader of the Cream World Order Stan Stylez, Killian McMurphy vs. Facade, and our Main Event match-up as the Boar takes on the Beastman for the Voltage Grand Championship.
Tickets are still available online or at the door. Get yours now.

Voltage Electrifying Wrestler of the Month - Red Dawg

2/10/2023

Picture
Voltage Wrestling is proud to present our first installment in our ongoing spotlight series. After a thrilling bout with Voltage Grand Champion Beastman last month, in which he came oh-so-close to winning gold, Red Dawg is our first ever Voltage Electrifying Wrestler of the Month.

From - The Island of Misfit Toys
Height - 5'9''-6'2" (depending on what convenience store he's running from)
Weight - For It

The Air Force Veteran Red Dawg made his debut on the Voltage beer tour last summer in Martinsburg, West Virginia, scoring his first victory in the promotion with a win over Will Knox in one-on-one action. And though he may hide behind the veneer of comedy, make no mistake - the Intel Specialist is not one to underestimate in the ring.

Voltage Dream Opponent - Killian McMurphy and Madd Maxx Morrison

On his most recent bout - "Yeah, Beastman...I felt like I got a few good shots in. He was a bigger opponent but the one thing I don't think people realized is my underrated super strength. It was a good thing I had some spinach right before my match. But I thought my spine got broken on the spear out of nowhere. I'll see Captain Crunch and his Beastly of a Man again soon!"

On his upcoming match-up with AK - "And A.K. with the Humble Hoodlum (what's a Humble Hoodlum anyway), they are a dynamic duo like a dark knight and boy wonder. I knew A.K. was a solid tag team with Isaiah but clearly A.K. was envious of Isaiah's cool demeanor. But, I'm gonna test out this new alliance between Ecton and A.K. and see how strong their new bond is!"

Red Dawg is back in action next Thursday night, February 16 when Voltage returns to 633 Brewery in Waynesboro, PA for another edition of Thursday Night Lightning.
A slew of exciting match-ups awaits, including appearances from Madd Maxx Morrison, Jakob Edwin, Killian McMurphy, Dani Mo, Dawg Nation, and the Grand Champion Beastman.

Tickets are available at the door or online at voltagewrestlng.com/waynesboro. Doors open at 7 PM, Bell Time 8 PM.

Don't miss it!

We regret to inform you that tonight's event has been postponed. Aside from the inclement weather coming to the area, our event doctor on Wednesday night informed us that he unfortunately contracted COVID-19 and would be unable to make the event. Per PA State Athletic Commission rules, all professional wrestling events must have a doctor present at ringside. We have been working around the clock diligently to find a replacement and unfortunately were not able to on such short notice. With such enthusiastic support from the fans in Waynesboro and a near RECORD pre-sale for Voltage Wrestling events, this cancellation is a tough pill to swallow. ALL TICKETS will be refunded within 24 Hours. If you purchased your tickets with CASH, a Voltage representative will be at the Rouzerville Community Center this evening to refund you. We sincerely apologize for this last minute cancellation.

Voltage Wrestling - Logan Easton Laroux Spotlight

1/17/2022

Written by Kyle T. Raios

WAYNESBORO, PA. - Time and time again, Voltage Wrestling has proven to pride itself on bringing the upper echelon of professional wrestling talent through its doors, and the January 28 return to Waynesboro, Pennsylvania is no exception.

The final Friday of January, at the Rouzerville Community Center in Waynesboro, PA at 8 PM, the self-proclaimed champion of the 1% Logan Easton Laroux will be in action, making his Voltage Wrestling debut.

An accomplished staple of DMV wrestling this last decade, the “Prince of the Privileged” Laroux is no stranger to the squared circle - nor the spotlight, nor the allure of a new town to impose the gravitas of his grandeur upon.

Hailing from a gated community inside a gated community inside a gated community, from a place you just can’t afford in Northern Virginia, Laroux is a product of Kyda Pro Training.

He is arrogant.

He is wealth.

He is privilege.

And he is about to grace us with his presence.

Having recently squared off with Tony Nese on AEW Dark Elevation, Laroux is also a former contestant on IWTV’s “The Masked Wrestler,” as well as being part of RALY - a group that has terrorized Beyond Wrestling for some time. A former PWI Ultra J champion, Laroux also holds an unclaimed shot at the IWTV title.

“Normally, I, the Venture Grapitalist, will come to your town intent on gentrifying the hell out of it into something worthwhile. But with a small, podunk town like this, I think we can all agree the best I can do is turn this glorified bed of peasantry into a mid-tier Par 3 golf course,” LaRoux responded in a brief statement to Voltage.

"From what I understand, all of your officials have taken part-time jobs at Applebees just to pay for my presence,” he added.

As January 28 rapidly approaches, the anticipation of Laroux’s Voltage debut will only continue to grow. Only one question remains - will anyone rise to the occasion to face the prince of privilege?

Visit voltagewrestling.com/Waynesboro for available tickets for the January 28 show in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania at the Rouzerville Community Center, bell time 8 PM.

Also in action that evening are Riot City v. The Faculty in tag team action, Voltage Grand Champion Sicend in a title defense with The Savage Gentleman Victor Benjamin, and former ECW/WWE and current IMPACT Wrestling star Rhino against Beast Man, and more to be announced!
